7-year-old poor girl makes my heart melt!
Pamela Latham and her small family found a cat in terrible condition in their garden. Severely wounded, he nevertheless found refuge with them, which gave him the strength to recover from his awful history.
Looking out of her house window, Pamela saw something moving in her garden. She couldn't figure out what kind of animal was in front of her. She had to come closer, to understand that it was a cat.
The animal had severe injuries on both its legs and face. He was bloody and raw on the part of his head. Empathetic, Pamela took the animal to provide some care. Far from being aggressive or wild, the animal has let itself be carried away. Pamela then treated her open wounds as best she could, before feeding and giving her something to drink. She then set him up comfortably in a cozy little nest so that he could recover a little.
The cat spent the night in the family house in a quiet place. The next morning, Pamela decided to take her to a veterinarian.
A very worrying diagnosis
His four legs had been so severely injured that the veterinarian was still wondering how he could stand. His life force was so incredible that he called him "Battle cat."
"He had no name, the vet called him "Battle Cat," and so far it's just because he was in a hell of a fight," said Mallory, Pamela's daughter on GoFundMe.
He had wounds all over his body and had been infected by bites. He also had one of his eardrums completely torn; his eyes were so swollen that he had trouble seeing. Finally, he had worms, and his skin was raw on most of his head. To top it all off, Battle cat was covered with fleas and ticks. This left no doubt that it was a stray cat.
The battle cat didn't want to die
Thanks to the veterinarian and Pamela, the recovery plan was promising, especially since the cat refused to give up. It took time for the cat to regain control, and his days were no longer in danger. But the brave kitten clung to get out of it.
The cat was healing better and better
Pamela adopted the cat and renamed it, Lazarus. As the days went by, he grew back into his prime.
"I had doubts about his recovery, but I crossed my fingers, and he succeeded brilliantly. He still has a lot less hair, which is due to an extreme infection according to the vet, but I hope he will soon regain his coat," Pamela told The Dodo.
Thanks to a lot of love, Lazarus was able to regain a small form. After a few days, his injuries were almost invisible. The second step was to save him a few grams. So, of course, Lazarus is not a particular case, but his ability to recover from his severe injuries has been remarkable. This cat also killed two birds with one stone: he was able to regain his health and find a loving family for life.
